We successfully installed Support Debugging Tool on version 10.0, service pack 3 in another installation. In the one we are now trying to istall it on we are on GP version 10.0, service pack 4 (ESLA).

Leslie's answer is probably good for you. I just had the same error testing because I advertently used GP 10.0 code for the SDT (downloaded to send a client). Now when installing the SDT for GP 2010, it does not over write the DEBUGGER.DIC or clear the install log, thus raising the error. If you remove them both it will chunk out and run.

Each of your workstations should have the same build of each product you are using. I have installed the SDT on just about every build out there and have had no problems with it. Have you tried downloading a new version from CustomerSource?
