Status of PO changes to "Approved" instead of "Confirmed", on doing short close

Dear Members,

I am trying to short close a PO. When doing so, the "Approval status" changes to "Approved" than remaining in "Confirmed". Also, I checked the change management toggle button, but it is disabled. But I have a workflow which is enabled in my environment. I even tried after disabling the workflow but still it showing "Approved" status.

Is there anything I am missing, which I needs to checked ? can you members through some light on this and help me to solve this issue.

I need the approval status to remain in "Confirmed" even after the short closing is done. What should be done to make this approval status to be in "confirmed" than showing in "Approved" .

Kindly help me out to solve this issue.

Hello Saravanan,

What do you mean with "short close"?

I believe it is standard Dynamics 365 SCM behaviour. When the purchase order is not confirmed and there is no workflow, the status is by default "Approved"

Hi Saravanan,
When the Change management is not active than the PO Approval status by default is Approved.

Once the Confirmation of the PO is done and PO confirmation journal is posted, than the Approval status changes to Confirmed. (Refer image below).

Where as When the Change management is active than the PO Approval status by default is Draft, once the Workflow is submitted it change to "In Review", after approving the workflow the Approval status changes to "Approved" and when the Confirmation journal is posted Approval status changes to "Confirmed".
