Modify CBM Payments Window

Hi there,

I wanted to modify the 'text' (Cash, Cheque etc) for Payment Method in CBM Payment Window. In the modifier, the list of static values does not allow me to edit or replace either of the values. When I try to use VBA, I do not seem to get a 'text' property for the 'PaymentWindow' look-up.

Any idea of how I can accomplish the modification ?

    You can not change the global fields (drop down list) value in modifier. You can change this field only in dexterity. But this is not an advisable, because if you change the value for this field it will affect all the windows(What are the window has this field). Better create a new field by using dexterity customization.

    Hi Soma,

    Thanks for your response. I do not intend to change the values(integrals like 1,2,3) - which I think are what the systems uses in the logic. I just wanted to change the descriptions.

    Now, does CMB has setup options where one can change document type descriptions, not the values ?

    These descriptions(Cheque, Cash, Credit Card. etc.,) was added to the field whele creating this field in dexterity. If you change the description, the field changed to a modified one. It will affect the other windows also. You can not change the description for the global drop down list.

    If you realy want to change the description, create one drop down list with all your desired descriptions in dexterity and add the field to that window. Set the proper payment method in standard field while selecting the description from your new field.

    For example:

    If you want to change the description for "Cash" in Payment Method to "Current Cash", Choose the Current Cash in your newly added drop down list, after selecting this set "Cash" to standard Payment Method field.

    Hi Soma,

    I added a drop-down list in the Modifier, and I was able to change the desciptions. I linked each of the new descriptions to the correct Payment Method. Only that the original references in GP would remain. I tried using Dex for this, but most of the CashBook Payments window were marked as 'missing/not found'.
