We want to add a document to Print Management for the Warehouse module. Is this possible?

We have a version of the Load Details report we want to use, but it's not in the list.

Any help would be appreciated.    Thank you.
I have the same question (0)

Which D365 product are you using? My guess is that it belongs to Supply chain | Supply Chain Management, Commerce forum.

Sorry. I'm still fairly new to posting questions here. I thought D365 General was the right place.

    We use D365 F&O.

Which board should I have posted this question to?

Yes, you can add a document to Print Management for the Warehouse module in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O). Here's how you can do it:

    1. Navigate to Print Management:

      • Go to Warehouse management > Setup > Warehouse parameters.
      • Find the Print management tab.
    2. Add a New Document Type:

      • In the Print management form, click on the New button to add a new document type.
      • Enter the details for your version of the Load Details report.
    3. Configure Print Settings:

      • Select the newly added document type.
      • Configure the print settings, such as destination (printer, email, file, etc.).
    4. Save and Test:

      • Save your changes.
      • Test the setup by generating the Load Details report to ensure it prints correctly.
If you find this solution useful, please like it and accept it as answer.

I was hopeful when I saw you response, but quickly found an issue  -- we don't see a "new" button like you suggested in Step 2.

I have System Admin access and still don't have that button. Is there a step missing?
We're at Release 10.0.41 if that makes a difference.

Moved the question from the Dynamics 365 general to the Supply Chain Management forum.

    Hi Peter,

On the print management page as mentioned below there is indeed no New button on the form, but you can right click on any node and then a popup menu will appear with the option New.

This is another example of how these misleading AI-generated answers decrease the usefulness of this forum. You got a reply, think that it shows you the right direction, you invest your time exploring it and then you find that it makes no sense. The users who gave you the answer had no idea what (s)he was talking about...

@Martin Dráb I ll address this AI generated answers tomorrow in the monthly super user meeting, unless you address it.

    Kind regards, Adis

Martin & Adis, thank you for the update. We were having no success with the solution proposed. As a fairly new user, how do you detect if the community's response is fake or not? How do I go about 'taking action'?

Do either of you know if we can do what my original question is asking?

Adding a new document type to print management requires a customization (and then configuration). Just for example, a new value needs to be added to PrintMgmtDocumentType enum and PrintMgmtDelegatesHandler.getDefaultReportFormat() should be extended.

Problematic forum responses can be reported:
I think all users can use it (nevertheless my UI is different, because I'm a moderator).

Sometimes it's obvious spam, sometimes the identification isn't that easy. The AI-generated ones are often recognizable already by the structure, or simply by length. I hope admins will do something about AI-generated content. I talked to them about creating some rules maybe half a year ago and they weren't very keen, but it's becoming a bigger problem every day.
