I am trying to find these tools without any luck. I am also looking for a good reference guide on how to get started using the object model for transaction imports. I am hoping to find some walkthroughs, guides, and sample code. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

I don't know about the BP SDK but the VBTools SDK manual and the SL Object Model manual are included in the User Guides folder of the SL install. That is assuming that the installer of your SL installed the manuals. Installation of those manuals is real easy if they were not initially installed.
BTW, you do not need write code using the object model to do transaction imports. TI functionality is built into the system manager.
