i need a help in installing Ax 2009 in client machine on Windows 7 Professional edition

Dear sir

I was trying to install the Ax2009 client software in my laptop (windows 7 Enterprise edition) it  was giving error. So i have changed my operating system to Windows 7 Professional (beucase ax 2009 supports only Win 7 Pro and Ultimate (i saw in the System requirement document). Though i have installed the Windows 7 Pro stil the client software is not getting installed. I have tried installing all the dot net applciations (3, 3.5 and 3.5sp1). Still the problem continues. But the same is installed successfully in Windows XP (Sp3). Do i need to install any other software before the client installation in my laptop

    Hello,

    I have AX 2009 running on my Windows 7 Pro laptop without issue.  I do turn of UAC before doing any installations, so I would recommend first doing that.  I also fully installed .NET Framework 4.0 and any updates before I do my installations.

    Other than this, I have not seen this type of issue.  Please post more as needed.

       1. Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile then install AX 2009 client. You may then re-apply KB982670.

       OR

       2. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4 also then install AX 2009.

    Hi

    The reason for this is that the client has ".NET 4 Client Profile" installed. This is a light version of the .NET Framework and does not contain System.Design.dll. (thus the error message " Could not load file or assembly 'System.Design, Version=4.0.0.0")

    You will have to install the full .NET 4.

    The Client Profile solution is really stupid, since the very idea of .NET is that developers should not have to distribute anything when installing applications. From now on, we will never know if we can trust the installed framework and that sucks. Big time!

    I've found what was the problem when you install the Microsoft Dynamic AX 2009 Client:

    1. Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile that already installed
    2. try to install the Microsoft Dynamic AX 2009 again
    3. If still not able to install, then uninstall all Microsoft .NET Framework you already install
    4. restart your computer
    5. once the flame computer again, just install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and then install the Microsoft Dynamic AX 2009 again
    This way solve my problem, I hope it can resolve your issue
