Hi guys,

I'm learning on AIF in D365, anyone got a good tutorial on how to implement this, what needs to create step by step, the setting and the usage ?

I have this reference, but it is for AX2012 : https://partnersource.blogspot.com/2018/07/aif-services-ax2012.html

I cannot even find System Administration / AIF / Inbound Port, which I think it is moved ?

I have up to that setting now, with the classes already built.

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

    F&O doesn't contain AIF anymore.

If you tell us what you're trying to achieve, we can tell you how it can be done in F&O. Or consult F&O documentation.

    I see...

Well it's just I'm starting to learn this D365 F&O. especially want to know the integration part of it.

And is there any integration that I can study, without the "setting relation" to Azure ? like Apps Registration. Because I do not have rights to do so.

Something that I can try from OneBox environment ?

    Thanks.

AIF has been deprecated in Dynamics 365. You can use Odata instead.

Integration is a very wide term. Data imports or Power Automate, for example, don't require registration in AAD.

Web service do. You can find sample code on GitHub, but you won't be able to run it without setting up authorization.

Is the OneBox environment hosted on Azure (through LCS) or locally?

For Odata integration you will need to setup App registration, even for locally hosted environments. Else, you will get an error "Unauthorized".

However, if your environment is on Azure, you can setup data export/import projects for (file based) recurring integration.

    Hi,

It is through LCS, it's just I don't have rights to do Apps registration nor anything in Azure Portal.

DIXF I know, only this approach is some kind of manual, right ?

    Thanks

You could do it manually or maybe setup recurring integration using Data managaement workspace. Please refer to docs.microsoft.com/.../recurring-integrations

You could then use something like the recurring integration scheduler to download the exported files and setup an application to deal with handling the files downloaded. Please refer to - github.com/.../wiki

As you are learning and want to learn about integration better to start with endpoints available within D365 and compare with what was available in earlier version .Below link shows you  service endpoints that are available in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance

    docs.microsoft.com/.../services-home-page

Below link  gives you details about integration strategies

For D365fO integration, please refer docs materials.
