How can I clear the Project Controller 'non post project' field in setup?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am working with Dynamics SL2011 Recently I needed to make a minor change to our Project Controller setup and once I did and tried to exit, it wold not let me leave without entering something in the non post project field.  I read the helps and entered a zero.  Now, in nearly all transactions I have to enter a 0 in the project field - where before it was only on my job related accounts.  How can I clear this field?  I think I could reset it with SQL if I knew the proper file/field name.

    Hi John,

The Non Post Project field is a required field and cannot be blank.  If you blank it out using SQL, then the next time you are in Project Controller Setup, you will need to fill that field in.  It is a required field now so that all transactions that are entered using a GL account that has an associated account category require a project id.  So either users need to supply a valid project id for that transaction or use the non post project id.
