What tables do you mean? Are these custom tables or not?

Try using Configuration Package for the Table having field 'Narration'.

    1. Export the Table to Excel file.

    2. Add the  Narration to the Excel file.

    3. Import the Excel file through Configuration Package.

This method can be used for created as well as standard objects.

Configuration Packages are Rapidstart packages, useful for handling import/export data via XLS templates.

If you want to use a Dataport (XMLPort now) you've to create it accordingly with the format of your input data.

    Hi jsshivalik,

You can create a Configuration Package (type "Configuration Package" in search) or Navigate to "<Company name>/Departments/Administration/Application Setup/RapidStart Services/Configuration Packages".
    1. Create a new Package and give it a name and code.

    2. Then in the lines add a table you want to and export to excel.

    3. All the entries will be in the .xlsx file. Modify the entries and Import the excel file.

    It looks something like this.
Note: I'm not sure if Configuration Package feature is there in NAV 2009.
