calculate difference between created on and modified on time

Hello,

can anyone guide onto how we can calculate the difference between created on and modified on time using javascript. or else is there an alternate way to do this. i need this feature to see the time taken to update a particular field.

    I suggest you will use workflow, mainly because the calculated time you want  is in Business Hours not Physical Hours. You need this function to tell the time it takes to update a particular field, if the user is supposed to update a field in one working hour (as an example), and the record was created at 4:30PM, it is still OK if the update is done by 9:30AM the morning after (assuming working hours are 9AM-5PM) This is can be easily achieved with Dynamics Workflows.
