    Hi,

Adding Application Ribbons is not necessary if you have only modified buttons on an entity.

When using managed solutions, be sure to backup your unmanaged solution (to a source control for example).

You can create a patch of the solution in your dev environment (Clone patch).

If you only want to update the ribbon, add the entity (only the empty entity) in the patch solution.

    Export it (as managed).

Import it to the target environment.

If you have added it now. Just deploy solution and could you check if ribbon buttons are updated or not?

I didn't added Application ribbon in the solution. previously

I have created a separate solution for creating a button and one more solution for creating new fields on account entity

Could you add latest Application ribbon in solution and deploy it? Also after deployment check solution layer on application ribbon.

Note: There should not be any unmanaged active layer present on Application Ribbon.

    I tried.

    Problem:

    1. in UAT the solution is showing only one button and one button which is under development, which is fine.

    2. the account entity contatins new field which holds some value in it. so i cannot delete it.

    3. the button is not globally it is account entity specific.

RE: How to remove the duplicate or extra Custom button from Ribbon in D365 CRM

    Hi,

    You can follow following steps:

    1. You can open your unmanaged solution in Ribbon workbench on Dev/UAT where account entity is present.
    2. Remove unwanted buttons.
    3. Add Application Ribbon in solution if it is not there.
    4. Redeploy solution as managed on Prod.

Note: If solution has more than 5 entities, ribbon workbench will get slow. So if thats the case, create 1 temp solution for ribbon changes and then add those component in original solution.

Please mark this as verified if this resolves your issue.

    Thanks
