Could you please help me on this.

This is standard behavior in D365, Actual start and Actual end are system controlled and not editable from the form. To meet your requirement, you can either use a table extension (CoC) for controlled logic or create custom fields instead of modifying standard ones.

    Hope it will help you.

    Hi,

Create a new dialog form, add it to standard form "all work orders", with 2 date controls, once open it, you can choose dates, and on the save of the form, you can update the work orders record. But based on the fact it is standard behavior, you should be aware of the effect of changing the standard behavior.

    Hi Kishor,

There is usually a reason why fields are restricted from direct user edits. What is the business problem you try to solve?

Hi Kishor, as Andre mentioned, you need to understand the requirement first and analyse if really needed. Even if you managed to edit them by any development, There are good chances it will break somewhere in end to end process.

If you still thinks you need that, there can be few option to do that. First put a debugger and check what the last trigger to update these values. I would assume once end date is populated, some status must change in system, you can add a dialog to update these two fields once a status is 'X'.
