D365 Finance & Ops - PMA - Default revenue recognition cost template

We run fixed-price projects through project management and accounting in our D365 Finance & Operations instance.

We are exploring changing the calculation method for estimates so I've created a new estimate cost template. I can manually update projects to use this new cost template, but I can't find an option to set which Cost template is defaulted for newly created projects.

Is there a parameter for this somewhere or does it require custom development?

It's this field where i'd like to update the default:

Hi adamread

Cost template is defaulted on Project Group.

While creating the project you choose project group and based on that system update cost template on project.

If you do not want to be based on project group, I would suggest customizing project creation form and provide selection of cost template.
