How to run a business rule when Switching Processes

I would like to update the "Resolve By" field on cases whenever the user switches between different processes to default to a certain value specific to that process (like modified date + 1 day). However I don't want this business rule to run at any other time and it should only run when switching processes on the case entity.

Is that possible?

Hi,

I dont think you can handle this via buisness rule.

if you are using Dynamics 365, you can create a workflow under the business process flow as now every single BPF is an entity now.

Extra

- if user changed from bpf a to bpf b, and after that changed bpf b to bpf a, the workflow is not going to work, and there is no trigger point for you to use, so use it wisely.

There is no such event is there to know when you switched business process in the business rules .However you can write JavaScript to check the process I'd in the form onload and the modified date value and update resolved by field.
