Sales Orders Approval Workflow

Hello everyone.

I am trying to create an approval workflow for sales orders.

I am currently using the standard sales order template and have set up approval limits.

Problem is: No matter who is creating a sales order, everyone has to send for approval even though they got unlimited approval - which means they cannot post the sales order until they have sent it for approval - which then automatically gets approved and they can then post the sales order.

Is there a way to let business central let users with unlimited approval limit post the sales orders without sending for approval first? Seems like a unnecessary step for users with unlimited approval...

it seems unusual to set up everyone with unlimited approval amount and then use the workflow. Once the workflow is enabled, a sales order has to been approved. What you observe is normal behavior.

Hello,

It will be easier to control by customizing.

Otherwise, you need to manually maintain the filter 'Created By' <> in the workflow.

As far as I know there is no way unless customised, this is standard behaviour.

Hopefully other experts can give you better advice.
