Inventory value report ax 2009

Hi Team,

when generating invent value report in batch process for ax 2009, the other batch jobs are in waiting and are not going into executing unless we cancel invent value report batch job or till it goes into ended state.

When doing r&d batch job(invent value report) has huge number of tasks, we have multiple multiple batch servers where we are not worried of threads required for executing, we have no customizations it is standard report

Did anyone face similar sort of issue and any help would be highly appreciated.

    How long does it take you to run the inventory value report?

    It sounds as if this is taking a Long time.

    Hi,

    Yeah, the report takes a bit long time to execute. The report takes almost 2 hours for one month data.

    Have you tried running the report in batch mode?

    Does batch processing of the report make a difference?

    Hi Vinodax,

    A good option is create a new index in the tables that the report is using.

    To know which is a good index you need the SQL developer help(or if you have access to SQL you can do it) using the Trace Parser tool (you can find it in Customer Partner)

    After that you can create the new index and this will decrease the time in almost 99 %.
