Started a new job as a Master Production Scheduler and I am new to BC.
Problem: I am dating RPO's` only to find that they move. I used the Planning Flexibility' field and set this to 'Zero', but the dates still moved. It is not the MRP changing these dates, we've tested and ruled out that.
Our IT guy thinks the RPO dates are moving when our finance team updates & posts SFDC/labor bookings to the RPO via the the Production Journal?
Any more thoughts/suggestions/help?
Cheers Andy. We had a breakthrough today and have got to the bottom of the problem fortunately. When we were inputting labor bookings against the RPO, we sometimes need to add new work sections to the routing (for optional non-standard work), which was causing the due date of the RPO to change post-posting. When we didn't need to add extra work sections into the routing, the dates didn't change.
