How to deliver data driven SSRS reports to Emails automatically in D365 Finance and Operations?

Hi dear community !

I was looking into sending a daily SSRS report through Email to each department head. And each department head should have a report with data related to his department only.
And I've found about SSRS Data Driven Subscription in SQL Server Reporting Server.
But since the environment I'm working on is D365 FO Cloud version. So I don't have access to the AxDB, which is required for Data Driven Subscription to assign a data source to get for example the department heads emails to assign as a recipients values in Email.
I'm wondering if SSRS Data Driven is valid for D365 FO cloud? or there are better options or tools to implement a case like this e.g. Power Automate maybe but I'm not sure how.

Can you please advise how to approach this case where we need to send a daily report through email for different recipients, each recipient having a filtered report related to him/her?

Any advice is appreciated !
Thanks in advance !

SSRS Data Driven Subscription isn't an option, but the standard reporting framework inside F&O is already able to send printed documents to email.

In your particular requirement, you'll likely have a table defining which filters should be used for which worker. Then you'll have a batch iterating records in this table, printing a report with the given filters for each entry and using the worker's email address at the print destination.

Hi Martin Dráb, I hope you are having a good day.

That's great to know having this feature natively available in D365 FO.
But where can I read about this or where to look into it in D365 FO?

You can select a print destination before printing a report. Look at Print or email a report, for instance.

So I need to create a batch job that will iterate through all department heads, and run the report for each department head record through a a report controller class object?
If what I mentioned was correct, then selecting the destination to Email and assigning the recipients email IDs should be done through the report controller class object? or am I not following correctly..
Because I have seen that you shared that I can select the report destination in the report pre-run dialog. So if I needed to automate this task, then I would have to do it in a batch job and using the report controller class to select the destination?

Yes, the report will be run be the batch, therefore the batch will set the parameters (filters and the print destination).

    Thanks a lot !
I tested it using a runnable class where I created a loop to run through all department heads, and in each loop I'm modifying the report contract and sending it to the report controller along with the print settings of a report controller and it worked !

    Appreciated :D
