Custom button to create a document from a Word Template - CRM2016

I'm attempting to create a custom button using the Ribbon Workbench that creates a documnet from our Word Document Templates.

I'm unable to work out what command/commandcore etc to specify in the Button Control properties.


Can anyone help!?

    Hi Ian,

    There's no supported way to generate a document from a Word Template.

    There's is a work-around though, that would work for you. You can create a workflow that generates a Word doc from a template. Once you have the workflow set up, you can kick it off with a button in the Ribbon Workbench like this: ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com/.../132235-create-a-workflow-short-cut-ribbon-button-no-code
