Incorrect syntax near 'index' GP 8.0

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 90

Running GP 8.0 SP5 with a SQL 2005 server.

When the user goes to do an aging report she gets an error that says:

[microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Incorrect syntax near 'index'. If this is intended as a part of a table hint, A WITH keyword and parenthesis are now required. See SQL Server Books Online for proper syntax.{Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]

I was hoping someone could help as this isn't a custom report or anything, built into the application.

Ideas?

Hi, does this happen on all workstations?

If not, (ie if you can run an ageing process successfully on other workstations)..then start with reviewing your ODBC settings. make sure ANSI Identifiers and Quotes are turned off.

You could also try and see if logging in as sa on that workstation allows you to run an ageing report.

If your ageing report has been modified, revert to the unmodified version and try again.

    Let us know the results.

I'll check the other workstations and see but I think it does.

Logging in as sa doesn't help and the report is unmodified.

     Happens on all workstations.

    Ideas?

Is this a new installation? Have you checked the ODBC settings? Like Ian mentioned, the ANSI settings on the next to last page should be unmarked.

Confirmed ANSI setting are unmarked in all cases.

Everything else seems to be working fine, just the aging report that does this.
