New Field Update information

Hello, 

I have created a new field in one of my custom entities. I have it setup if I create a new record from another custom entity, it will automatically fill the new field. Going forward this will work (1:N Relationship). However, I have active records that the new field is blank. How do I update them >?

    Hello ,

    I am sorry, not very clear about your question.

    Do you want to update the new field of exiting record those status are active?

    In that case you can implement one simple console application with your condition.

    Hi Goutam,

    example: In the account entity, I would like the zip code to automatically go to the new opportunity that is created from that account. I created a new field in Opps and add a relationship with accounts specifically with the zip code field, so now every time I create an opp from an account the zip code is updated. Now I have Open Opps and the field I created is blank. How do I update them without any code??

    Hi Vicky,

    I I have created this already and it works great, when I create a new Opportunity from an Account. The field Zipcode does update to the field in my new Opportunity. However, I have Open Opportunities that I would like the field to update. I am not sure how to do that.
