How do you populate an iFrame on a Contact form with a PlugIn?

I can populate the description field through the Entity (entity.Attributes("description") = CustomerData)  but how would I do the same thing with an iframe placed on the Contact Form?

    Hi,

     I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

    In your example, description seems to be an entity attribute - it's available in the pugins.

     IFrame is a completely client-side feature.. Plugins are not aware of the iframes.

    Hi,

    1. If its a custom html page you can access it using

    Xrm.Page.ui.controls.get('IFRAME').getObject().contentWindow

    2. If its a quick view form of another entity, then you may need a webapi request to update the same and should refresh the form.

    As Alex suggested, you cannot update an Iframe using a plugin. A plugin can be attached only to a message based trigger and can perform server side operations.

    Hi,

    Iframe on a form is a client side component which can't be populated from plugin whereas the attribute is a component of an entity so you can set it's value.

    So you can't do it through plugin directly.

    If you wish to achieve it then you might use javascript and plugin  in conjuction.
