Advanced SharePoint Online Integration

Hi,

I used SharePoint S2S integration with CRM 2013 Online. I have activated document library for "opportunity" and "quote". I use S2S integration with no structure based on account / contact so i have one library foreach entity. I need to sync some "opportunity" with OneDrive Entreprise but OneDrive is unable to sync a folder, just a full library.

So after activate sync, i have all opportunities in my OneDrive local folder...Impossible to sync just one opportunity.

The solution is that Dynamics CRM create a document library foreach opportunity, not a folder in a parent document library.

Also i would like to add the "synchronise" action directly in CRM interface, no need to use SharePoint.

What do you think about ? How to ?

Thanks

    Hi,

the crm sharepoint built-in integration is a little limited and many times I need to extend through code

I never tried to point to a library but the msdn mentions

"Before you can manage documents for a record from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you must create a location record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM that points to LIBRARIES and folders on SharePoint where the documents will be stored."

    www.microsoft.com/.../create-or-add-a-location-for-the-first-time.aspx

You can try to deactivate the default location here

    spab.PNG

it will enable to enter a sharepoint location like this:

try to type a Library rather tan a folder. if it doesn't work, you will need to consider a custom code solution

    Hi,

    Thank for your answer.

Even though I have desactivate default SPO Site, when i add a Document Location i need to refer a Parent Site

    Capture_5F00_2.png

Ok, i set my default site which is desactivated, then in the folder name i set the library name in my SPO and it's ok ! It works ! With this, now i can synchronise juste one opportunity with OneDrive Entreprise.

Ok, i have to write some code to do this, i think to write some javascript on "created event on opportunity" to :

    1) Create the library in SPO

    2) Create a document location in CRM

    3) Attach the new document location to my new opportunity entity

and  then "on created event on quote" to:

    1) Create a subfolder in the parent opportunity document library in SPO

    2) Create a document location in CRM

    3) Attach the new document location to my new quote entity

Do you think i'am on the good way ? Also, i need to add "Synchronise" button on default wiew, is it possible ? How To ?

    Thank in advance.

    Nicolas

    Hi,

I have a blog series on this subject - the next in the series will show you how to do this! develop1.net/.../SharePoint-Integration-Reloaded-Part-1.aspx

    Hi,

I have read your blog, great job ! Thank.

There is not message to create a library, but just a folder. I need to create one library for one opportunity, not a folder, so with OneDrive Entreprise I would be able to sync opportunity one by one.

I have no idea to do this except by calling SPO API directly in a CRM Plugin or via JS.

Thank in advance for your comments.
