3 possible scenarios
1. Could be that somebody initialized Account History and there are no GL transactions to support it.
If you put in a gl batch to change the account history, then you would have to initilize it again to get the balance back to what it was before you created the batch.
So account hist says 1000.00
Your gl trans say you have 800.00
you put in a batch for 200.00
You must go back and then re-init it back down to 1000.00 because after batch release it will go up to 1200.00
But it could be that 1 its a result of 2 or 3
2. If its the YTD net income account you will ALWAYS have that * ...there are no transactions for that account and only acct hist is posted to it.
Ignore it.
3. Finally,You are retaining history, but deleting detail. Here we have account history being saved, but you are not retaining the detail....this is in your retention settings and detail can be deleted from the delete detail screen or the closing screen.
