Internet Explorer Script Error

One of the users in our company is using GP v 10 on Windows XP.  She has been using GP for a long time (since v 8.0) and we have been on version 10 for about a year.  This morning she started getting an IE Script error on her home page whenever she refreshes the page.  I'm still trying to determine what changes she might have made recently that would cause this problem.  The message box pops up and says "An error has occurred on this page, Line:  335, char: 6, Error:  The data is invalid. code:  0, file:  ...Temp/tmp16A.tmp,  Do you want to continue running scripts on this page"  She can click yes and the page willl continue to load but she get's the message every time she refrehes the page.  Does anyone know what might cause this and how to get it to stop?

I would be most grateful for any help.

 Thanks,

Alan Jefferson

I have a similar issue. When a user tries to open an account, he gets message: "An error has occurred on this page, Line: 28, char:1, Error:  Access is denied. code:  0, file: http.. ". This only happens for one account and one user. What could be the cause?

It is probably related to MS Office.   THere are some web components that feed the Metrics portion.  I would approach from that angle rather than via GP.

I'm not sure. The first port of call is to apply the office web components for office 2003 and upwards until the problem is resolved. This resolves display problems for home page metrics - but the errors above are not related to this I think?.

Alan and CCP - can you confirm that you have downloaded and applied Office Web Components? Did it resolve?

If the error message mentions temporary files / folders - could it be roaming IE profiles etc? Does that ring a bell with anyone?

    Ian.
