One of my vendors has advised me that effective immediately, all orders to them will include a USD 25.00 handling charge, regardless of the size of the order. How do you I configure this?

    Hi,

Charges are one possibility if you want to add those costs on top of your item costs.

Another alternative is a service item. Service item costs can however not be added to the original item costs.

    Best regards

    Ludwig

do you mean like adding a supplementary item?

if you want the additional charge to become part of other items inventory cost, then the way is to use AP Charge Codes, and create auto charge rule that will add this charge to each invoice from that vendor.

If you don't need to burden your inventory with that charge, and just want to record this as an expense, create a new non-inventoried service product, and you can use supplementary item functionality to add this item automatically to each PO for that vendor.

    Hi Adrian 1234,

Yes. Either use charges or a service item that has a similar function as a supplementary item.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
