Extracting emails from D365

Hi All,

Is there a way to extract all emails and attachments from a msg format ?

    Hi M,

    I have worked on similar project but no email integration was there. Created custom standalone application ( could use windows service) to extract, Create Folder in SharePoint and upload email attachment to SharePoint.  

    1. Looped through each emails
    2. Get the attachments  and uploaded into CRM.
    3. Created a custom Entity to store completed email record Guid and attachment Guid for future reference , and also to make sure all attachments are copied over

    Missing part is emails are not converted into texts are not uploaded. On the 1st step you can covert email to text and upload to in SharePoint.

    So you want store each emails and attachment in Sharepoint folder. For example folder A with Attachment 1, Attachment 2 and Emailmessage.txt file, right? Emails in txt format?

    Different platform, I just need the attachments along with body of email .. SharePoint or file share is fine

    Thanks, this is a migration project not storage related.

    I need to migrate all Attachments with emails

    Hi M,

    Bit curious, Why you want to extract email messages. Is that because of  using storage space? Attachment use most of the storage space, I dont think messages will take too much space.

    why dont  you move all attachments to SharePoint under email documents. So the attachment can view anytime in email documents area in CRM
