When importing Phone Calls the Regarding field will not Resolve

When importing a list of phone calls in a CSV file, I can't get the Regarding lookup field to resolve to a Lead and the import returns all errors. (Call To field resolves...)

I've tried using Lead Name and Lead ID (using Leadid to map to regardingobjectid in Phone Call).

**What is the correct way to do this?

Related question:

Why are all the regardingobjectid fields in Phone Call, Tasks, Emails etc. (Activities) of type Knowledge Article??

    Francesco, I did not get the import to work using a new Unique ID field, but I ended up exporting the records to Excel and copying and pasting new rows and the re-import worked, the Lead lookup was resolved by Name.

    Hi Charlie ,

    you should generate an unique TEXT field.

    If you want to use "Primary Key" you need to copy it to a text field (we name "new_EntityCode" or "new_Code" or "new_Guid") and then match over these attributes.

    Before to import you need to update this new attribute over all your records (by console).

    Thanks for the reply Francesco.
    I do have the LeadID that is a built-in Primary Key of the Lead Entity (like below) in my csv file that should match the regardingobjectid field in Phone Call Entity.

    So why would I have to create a different unique id?

    Hi Charlie,

    you need to map lead over an UNIQUE VALUE.

    If you have not an unique value, you could create one (like "Lead ID") through autonumbering and/or SDK.

    Then you need to map you unique value attribute during import setup, please see the following picture

    Regarding regardingobjectid which point to Knowledge Article entity, you have to ignore it. In each enviroment it may vary, because regardingobjectid point always to many object, and only one object is shown (casually).
