Reporting services extensions and analysis services configuration not installing during setup

I recently completed the installation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 r3, however, the reporting services extensions and analysis services configuration did not install.

I wanted to modify/add this component again, and when I got to Specify Business Connector proxy account information, I received an error which says The AOS 'MicrosoftDynamicsAX@AGISMSD02@2712' cannot be reached. Setup cannot continue.

Before the installation, I did not enable port the AOS port 2712. I enabled this port after I got this error after the conclusion of the installation. My AOS is running and I gave administrative rights to my domain account. Still I am encountering this error.

Please I will be grateful if someone direct me on how to resolve this error. Thank you very much.

    Hi,

Can you check the table SYSSERVERSESSIONS using SQL server management studio and see if you have a record with a different AOS server? If yes, please stop the AOS service, delete all records and restart the service.

    Hello,

Sorry to ask, but can you direct me to where I can find this table SYSSERVERSESSIONS? I'm using sql server 2016.

I don't think I have any record of a different AOS server running on my sql server

This is a screenshot of my sql server. Where do I search to know if there's any AOS service on my sql server?

    Hi,

After logging into SQL server, please go into the AX database. You should be able to find this table under tables. For finding out the AX database name, go to AX AOS server and open AX 2012 server configuration,  go to "Database Connection" tab.

I don't think I understand your explanation correctly. There is no AX AOS server on my sql server.

These are what I have on my sql server.

AX AOS services would be on the AOS server. From the image you shared, I think MicrosoftDynamicsAX is the AX server. You can look under the tables in this database.

Is this what you're talking about?

Also, I noticed the NEXT button isn't highlighted when I tried to rerun the setup.exe file. Do you know what this could mean?

    Hi,

Yes. That's the table I was looking for. You can right click on the table and select "Edit top 200 rows".

For the second image, the components show as installed, but might be that they installed with errors. If there were errors, you might need to remove these components using AX installer and re-install them.

It looks like you are unable to connect from the machine where you try to install extension to the AOS.

I would try to install the client first and review application event viewer.

If you still have the issue please raise a request to Microsoft support team, they will assist you

    Hi,

Do you have an AX client installed on the SQL server? If so, are you able to connect fine with it?
