Open Lot Report

ReportReport

We receive all our inventory into a lot.  We use this lot to specify items bought for a specific sale.  Each lot has a unique # or is listed as stock.  We need a report so we can tell what has not been billed out.  Is there a report to list every item with each lot #?  Currently we have to use Crystal but the report is flawed and does not pull everything - we have found we are missing quite a few items.  Is there something in GP that we can use?

Thanks,

Michelle

There's a report called 'Lot Number List' in Inventory reports that lists every lot in inventory along with the quantity available.  This isn't exactly what 'hasn't been billed out' but it may be helpful to you.

This report is exactly what I am looking for. Is there a way to export to Excel cleanly? GP does not let you export into Excel at all. I saved as pdf and exported from there. The report is messy and would take a long time to clean up.

No, there is no way to export a Report Writer report into Excel neatly and unfortunately, the report is not available as a SmartList.

What you might do is take a look at the report design in Report Writer and note the tables/fields the report is using to verify your Crystal report design.

I have tried to go into Report Writer and clean it up. I took off all the items I did not need, but every time I save it and try to run the report again - it is not saving my changes. Is this a report that is not able to be modified. I am not familiar enough with Crystal to make any changes to the one we have already. Michelle

    Michelle,

Are you sure it's not saving your changes?  Have you granted yourself access to the modified report under Alternate/Modified Forms & Reports in Security?

Thank you , Thank you - that was the problem.  I added security for reports and now i can change everything.  Appreciate you guys so much.  Very helpful !!!!

I cleaned the report using report writer and got a great suggestion.  I changed the destination to file, tab delimited and then ran it.  I then opened it up in Excel and it made the columns perfect.  Just thought I would share.  It has saved a ton of heartache.

    :) Michelle
