Hello All,

I have two different instances of MSCRM online say A and B.

one managed solution i have imported to the B instance from Dev environment.

now i want to import this solution to the A instance and it's production.

If by chance something got failed or functionality didn't work as expected.

will i be able to delete managed solution by keeping the initial revision reset.

the same managed solution having Revision 1 and now i want to import revision 2.

    Hi,

If you delete "managed" solution, all components will be removed and your instance will be working as default.

After that you can install (import) your managed solution again (with or without version revision)

Delete the revision 1 managed solution and import the new one. System  always takes the latest solution changes even though you have the same solution installed with old changes.

    Hope this helps

    Hello Hanifa,

I don't want to delete the older one.

but if i do change the version and deploy it on prod it will replace the older solution with new one.

But something goes wrong how can i revert back to old solution.

Note:-I am not changing name , display name or anything except for changing the Version number.

    See below:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg327822.aspx

When you uninstall a managed solution, the following data is lost: data stored in custom entities that are part of the solution and data stored in custom attributes on system entities that are part of the solution.

    Hope this helps.

then you can delete the latest solutions deployed if you want to revert back to old.

Hope this helps. Pls mark it as verified to close the thread if suggestion resolved your query
