We are having problem on Windows 8.1 when we try to run Macro in RMS... won't get recorded .. and nothing in the database... it works fine with windows 7...
Can someone confirm this is an issue? or is there anyway to get around?
Thanks

Defect 1834.
No solution for this yet.
Our XP customers migrating to Win8.1 are very unhappy. I recommend that if your customers use recorded Macros don't deploy Windows 8 until Microsoft has resolved this.
Hi there,
I've raised this with Microsoft and received confirmation that this is a known defect that has not yet been resolved and does not yet have an ETA. I do not believe CU5 will resolve the issue.
Response from MS Support on 2/4/2014:
"There is currently a product defect for macros in Windows 8 and 8.1. The defect ID is 1834 and I will be adding this service request to the tracker so we can provide you with the fix when it is released."
They also later asserted:
"We do not recommend disabling the UAC via the registry, as this can cause additional issues with other Windows components"
And on the 9th April:
"Currently, there is not an ETA as to when this bug will be fixed...we will contact you again to provide you with the fix."
you need to upgrade to CU5 which is atleast 2.0.200. Your version doesn't work with windows 8
