Unable to Install Visual Studio 2013 Tools.

Hi

I am unable to install Visual Studio 2013 Tools (Developer Tools).

Prerequisites Validation is Validating for 

Required updates for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013. download link says downloading is not longer available.

Please help to get Visual Studio tools to be installed.

I am trying to update AX 2012 R3 with CU13 in my local laptop with Windows 10

I am having Visual Studio 2013 already installed. 

My intention is to do the AX related report design in my local laptop.

    Yes, I know and the "update" in "Requires update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013" is what I was talking about.

    You also said that "download link says downloading is not longer available" and I merely wanted to get some details about it from you. I thought it was obvious.

    It doesn't matter anymore if the problem has been resolved.

    Hi Martin

    As i told for me the requirement was to have Visual studio 2013 tools to be installed . So when i was running AX 2012 R3 setup, i was selecting the component Visual studio 2013 tools.

    and on click of install , the installation was not proceeding , it was saying an prerequisite error "Requires update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013".

    May be i am not understanding your way of reasoning , if so please correct me.

    Thank you for your answer, actually i tried to download the Visual studio update from your given link , but on running the downloaded file , it was having issue like

    "You dont have permission to Mount the file"

    Later i got my Visual Studio 2013 updated to Update5 from our system admin.

    after this i was able to resolve the prerequisite error "required updates for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013".

    But in my installation file under update folder i had CU10 due to this i was unable to install Visual studio 2012 tools. even tough there were no prerequisite errors.

    Later i updated CU10 to CU13 in Update folder .

    Later i  successfully installed Visual Studio 2013 Tools.

    Still there was an issue in deploying the reports which i resolved with the help of below link ( Which was shared by Martin Drab)

    I'm asking what you formulated as "required updates for Microsoft Visual Studio 2013". Updates for Visual Studio and Visual Studio itself are clearly different things.

    I know you already have VS 2013, you told us above. What you didn't tell us are any details about those "required updates".

    Hi Raghu,

    Download VS 2013 with update 5 from below link and install it.. this will resolve your issue ( I did face same issue in past and this resolve mine)
