Hi guys,

I have custom security role, that when initialy created, we can see all the permission through menu System Administration > Security > Security configuration, then select the role and click View Permission.
But suddenly, it didn't show us anything, while if I take a look at its detail, it has Duties, Privileges.

View permission ->

Anything's wrong ?

I tried to restart AOS, but this problem persist.

Thanks

    Hi,

May I know in brief what actually this "Managed disabled object" for ?
    The list is empty though.

But anyway, I tried also the Synchronize all, then "miraclely", it shows.

    Solved. Thanks all.

    Hi,

Have you checked the "Manage disabled objects" section under System Administration -> Security Configuration -> Data -> Manage disabled objects. In this screen, we can find the list of disabled objects.

Also, in the above screen clip, try the Synchronise all option too (if the Repair option as rightly mentioned by Andre is not resolving the issue).

    Hi Andre,

    It is 10.0.37.

And this is inside my VM which is a downloadable VHD, btw.
    Thanks

    Hi Ken,

Can you tell me which exact version of Dynamics 365 F&O you are using? I just tried it with the same privileges and do have the correct information when opening  View permissions.

I decided to try create new Role from scratch just to see maybe there is something wrong with the current role.
I would like to share here for an advice whether I'm creating it wrongly.
    Here is the steps:
    1. Create new role.
    2. Create new Duty.
In this duty, I out some standard privileges inside

    3. Add this new duty to the new role

    4. Build and synchronize

When I load again D365 FO, path SysAdmin > Securities> Security configuration, look for the new role. without click the tree for the content, just click View permissions. The problem still persist, there is nothing to see ->

I tried to restart AOS, SQL, clear usage data, even restart my VM. But the result is the same.
I'm wondering whether I doing it wrongly, or something is wrong with my VM.

    Thanks

    Hi guys,

I did the Repair thing, but it's not working. Also did restart AOS, after I tried to Build and synchronize again the Model.
And yes, this is from Visual Studio that I'm working with. And I open D365 inside my development VM.

For testing, I found something strange though, when I search for standard Privileges (not related to the role above) like this :

    The property is :

But if I search it from the UI, from System Administration > Security ? Security configuration. I can't find it ->
The result will be only 1 and it's not what I'm looking for:

Is this correct, or I'm doing it wrong ?

    Thanks

    Hi Ken,

Do you create it from visual studio? If not, are you sure that you published your changes?

    Hi,
This doesn't seem to be a data issue, it's likely that there's a display issue. You can try refreshing the page and clearing your browser cache if that doesn't work. Or if you're using a compatible browser, but I guess there's less chance of a problem with this aspect. Finally, you can try to make sure you update your FO instance, which might fix this display issue, I checked my test environment and didn't run into this issue.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

Did the issue occur when viewing permissions without expanding the security tree (duties, privileges, etc.)?

    Hi Ken,

I do assume the privileges do have at least linked objects with permissions, such as menu item and table permissions. You can try to use the Repair button. You can read more about this option on my blog: Security configuration - What is the 'Repair' button? - Dynamicspedia

Please let us know if this solves your issue.
