Record not saved correctly

Hi, 

I've had an issue with a record not saving a checkbox selection, although not showing the checkbox on screen. 

Just had an issue with a workflow record that I removed the checkbox to trigger on record creation, saved it and it triggered anyway. 

Any pointers would be appreciated.
