OData Post Attachment

Posted on by 15

Hi all,

I am attempting to use the OData call: ODataV4/Company('CRONUS%20Canada%2C%20Inc.')/AttachedDocuments to POST an attachment to a sales order. I am able to use a GET request and retrieve a PDF document that I have manually attached. I am finding that there is no documentation on how to use OData calls to POST attachments to a sales order or other similar document type.

Any help would be amazing. However, please don't link me to Business Centrals V2.0 API or V1.0 API. I would like to use the OData calls.

If you can wait you can adopt this as standard in October: docs.microsoft.com/.../power-apps-power-automate-support-document-attachments

The standard api pages use the incoming document feature not attachments. So no it’ll need development. If you’re happy to use incoming documents check this blog for tips: joshanglesea.wordpress.com/.../

If I want to use the V2.0 API or V1.0 API would this be possible to do without development?

One of these two resources might help. Development will be needed here as attachments need to use recrefs to assign a file. Pages for Odata use tables, so not the same thing.
