    Hi Mikael.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Go to product. Plan-> Item Coverage

    2. Create New line. Select type as Min/Max.  Enter quantity to be as tolerance.

    3. GO to Default order setting.

    4. Enter Min Order Quantity-If you know minimum level of purchase must be done for product.

    5. Enter Standard Quantity, which defines maximum standard number for planned order.

With this setup: whenever your inventory will fall under tolerance mentioned in item coverage-> Planned order will be created with Maximum refill in default order setting.

You'll probably want to create a "coverage group" in MP\setups that is associated with replenishment method=min/max planning, then on the released product page you can associate the item with that coverage group--it's the only field in the "planning" FastTab of the product screen. Once the product is tied to a min/max coverage group, then when you pull up the Item Coverage stuff that Fredrik is referring to, it will have the appropriate min and max fields enabled.

    Hi Mikael,

On the item, go to plan tab and select item coverage.

Put in data for your warehouse and then run master planning.

You also need to have set up master plan off cause. Do you have that ready?

If not... This is a BIG topic, but to put it Really simple...

Create a coverage group of type min/max.

Use the default settings that pop up.

    Create a master plan.

    Use the default setup.

    Run master plan.

Orders should be created in the planned orders form.
