Changing a Job No. on a Posted PI

How do you change the Job No. on a posted PI? essentially transfer the costs of the PI to a different job in the jobs module? PI is still valid and to be paid out but costs should be associated to a different job.

I have the same question (0)

Hi, Sadly, I don't think it's possible to modify the Job No. on Posted PI directly.
It is recommended that you cancel this Posted PI first, recreate a new PI, and then post it.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

Agree with YUNZHU, if you think about all the posting that happen to record things at the job then changing the job on the posted document would require posting to remove what was previously recorded and record new transactions.  This is why posted documents cannot be changed.

    Hello,

When we try to use the correct function to generate a credit memo it does not let us, saying the PI is closed. Any ideas on how to cancel it?

Ah, you have already paid the purchase invoice. Use the Create Corrective Credit Memo, then verify that the credit memo has the job information and post it.
