What is the difference between Product Type = Service (in Product module) and Service Management Module?

In the D365 FO > Product Information Module, we can create an item with Product type = Service.

And we have Service Management Module as well.

Could you please clarify their use cases?

    Hi John,

    These are two completely different topics. The service management modules supports complete processes. A service item can be used on purchase orders, sales orders and more to have the scenario for non-stocked items.
