Insertion in Batch History

Hi, I am doing an analysis on how batches work and I would like to know at what exact moment a record is inserted in the batch history of a particular batch. Is it when the batch is run, is it when the batch is finished?

Hi @Jesus,

Yes, when the batch is finished that moment a record is inserted in the BatchJobHistory Table.

In standard class BatchRun you find an static method serverProcessFinishedJobs that triggers.

Thanks Mohamad for the answer! I was looking into this as well, had always assumed that the record would get initialized the moment the batch gets going.
