I am using Visual Studio 2017 and installed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer Toolkit. But when I tried to register a plugin (CRM Explorer > Entity > Create Plug-in), I encountered the error "An error occurred while trying to load components from the Plug-in Registration Tool". I am using the latest Developer Guide where the version of Plugin Registration Tool is v9.0+.
My question is, is the Developer Guide (latest SDK) compatible with the D365 Developer Toolkit? Or should I stick with the downloadable SDK (v8.1+)?

Hi,
i was having the same issue with Version 9.0 so i had to change the Plugin Registration and Bin folder paths to v8.2.
I think it doesn't support with v9.0 unless Microsoft fix it.

Hi PDCM,
I do not use the Dynamics 365 Developer Toolkit, and I am unsure of its compatibility. The SDK works great, so I do not think you need the toolkit.
