Line Discounts not working for standalone 9-digit accounts

Hi all, I have a problem where Trade Agreement line discounts on products (doesn't matter which one) do not work on certain types of 9-digit customer accounts.

The line discounts work correctly on 6-digit accounts (e.g. 123456).

The line discounts work correct on 9-digit accounts linked to 6-digit accounts, where the 6-digit account has got a line discount (e.g. if 123456 has a line discount, and I create a Sales Order for 123456001 (a distribution center), then the line discount will come through correctly).

If I have a customer with a nine-digit number not linked to a 6-digit account number (e.g. 222222221), then the line discounts will not work. The standard discount setup in Customers - Sales Order - Line Discount will come through instead.

If I look at the Sales Order header - Trade Agreement - Line Discount, I can see the correct price for the product, but it is not coming through to the Sales Order line.

Any ideas on where to start looking, either in code, or in any setup options that I've missed, would be much appreciated!

Just an update, it doesn't work on any 9-digit customer accounts unless the attached 6-digit invoice account has the same sales line discount for the same product, at the same price. Does that make sense? It seems like I should be able to setup a discount on an account without having to do that.

    Thanks all,

First up... This is a sales related question.

    Secondly... You should...

Look away from the 6 or 9 digits.

It has to do with your setup for each customer. Try adding a line discount group on the 9 digit customer. The invoice account probably has som type of discount group assigned.

Remember that you would need to create a new order to let the preset for the customer be defaulted on to the order.

Hi Fredrik, thanks for answering me!

The Invoice account does have a line discount in the Sales Order tab - Discount - Line Discount of 50/8 (50% off then another 8% off the MSRP).

The customer account has the same line discount of 50/8.

In the Trade Agreement - Line Discount, if I use group discounts (e.g. give all customers that have a 50/8 discount the same further discounted price on the product), then that works correctly.

However, if I use Trade Agreement - Line Discount, Account Code - Table (so that only that single customer has the further discounted price on the product), it only works if the same discount is setup in the Invoice account (same product, same price). Otherwise the 50/8 discount comes through on the Sales Order.

I tested it by creating new sales orders every time.

Thanks for your help on this!
