Hello:

Are all payment formats attached to Methods of payment by default setup to create CSV files? Today, when Generate payments is kicked out, a CSV is automatically generated and downloaded to the user's machine. Is it possible to bypass the file download altogether while allowing the Generate payments process to complete (e.g., set Payment status, Payment reference, etc)? Ultimately I would like to send this file electronically (SFTP drop) without user intervention.

Hi,

No it won't. You need to setup a method of payment and not to select any export format.

Are you be able to provide a bit more detail? Would that mean I'd setup a new Method of payment without selecting an export format, but then need a separate process to export the payment details?

You're looking at either a customization, as mentioned in this thread - Export Vendor Payment file to SFTP (dynamics.com) - or a third-party treasury management app like SK Global or Kyriba to automate this process for you.
