How can I clear checks that were cut prior to Cash Manager being set up?

Posted on by 25

How can I clear checks that were cut prior to Cash Manager being set up? We did not use Cash manager for some of our cash accounts for a couple of years. Now we have a bunch of checks that are showing as outstanding in Dynamics when we know they have cleared. Is there a way to go in and mark them as cleared?

    Hi Corey,

The table would be APDoc.  The fields are Status, PerClosed, ClearDate, and ClearAmt.  You can compare a check with a status of O to a record with a status of C.  That will tell you how the fields should look for a cleared check and an outstanding check.

Carolyn, my organization is in a similar situation as Stacy's.  How can we find out what field(s) and table(s) to update?

    Hi Stacy,

Where are the checks showing as outstanding?  In AP?  I assume they are dated prior to your Start Accept Transactions date in CA Setup.  Unless you have them flow into Cash Manager, there isn't a way to clear them in SL.  The only option would be to clear them using SQL statements if you are skilled in using SQL Server Management Studio.

Let me know how else I can assist.
