In our organization, we have legal entities that have several funds. The separation of funds could be a legal or organizational requirement.
We want to be able to manage the scenario below in D365. Can you describe how this would be handled?
Scenario
You have an invoice that covers different funds within the same legal entity. We won't issue payments for the different funds, just for one fund, but the other funds should have a share from the fund that has the payment. Eg. One fund receives premiums, but a portion of the premiums belong to different plans (LTD, STD), another way of saying it is that Fund A received all the premiums, but it owes money to Funds B & C, within the same legal entity.
We want to be able to balance the funds.
How would this be managed in D365? How can the relationship be built between the other funds?
