Import of Financial Dimension with Chart of Accounts in Ax 2012

Dear All,

I have 3 mandatory dimensions in my account structure in which 2 of the dimensions have fixed values and must be attached with All Main Accounts and the third dimension will vary from account to account.

I want to import the chart of account with fixed financial dimensions. 

Is it possible that I'll be able to upload COA along with Fixed Dimension using DIMF or Excel Add-in in Ax 2012 R3?

    Importing COA is possible ,however never tried dimensions.Look at the below link for reference for importing COA. You can do your further research for importing dimensions.

    Hello Ammarali,

    As far as I am informed, the import of fixed financial dimensions at the ledger account level is not supported out of the box.

    You either have to modify that or make a modification to achieve this kind of import.

    Never tried this but i doubt it is possible since the financial dimensions are based on a per legal entity basis.

    You mean in order to achieve the desired results it would be a customization?

    As far as I know you need a customization for that or you make the setup manually.
