Importing Contoso Demo Data in AX2012R3 CU11

I have imported the Contoso Demo data "MicrosoftDynamicsAXR3CU8DemoData" through Test Data transfer tool as per the procedure described by Microsoft. But after the import all my data is removed and i cannot even see my own vendors/customers etc. All configurations are removed and all the master data is also removed.

In the AOT Tables, I can see the data, but i think there is some step missing or something else?

You might have created, modified or deleted records which are preventing of correctly importing the demo data. You can try to set up a new Database, point your AX AOS instance to that data, then attempt to re-import the demo data to a fresh environment to see if you still get errors.

I did the re-import but no success. There were 30 errors displayed while the first import attempt but no details

The import process informs you on the progress of the data to be added to your system, and whether you have errors. Did you have errors? You may attempt to re-import the data once more.

I am trying to import the contoso demo data downloaded from Partner website thru demo data transfer tool utility. After import, my existing legal entities are visible but no transactional or master data

Hi Mudassar,

You have to check the size/quantity of files which you are trying to import in AX.

and also check if there are not even legal entities coming in your environment after importing data?

If legal entities are coming then data is being imported but your are missing files for specific fields.

Try to replaced MicrosoftDynamicsAx by the name of my data base “AX_R3″ in the command

I did with Run as Administrator, there were around 30 errors in the import

But what are these conditions and how to overcome them. I tried twice but still unable to import demo data
