Finance Close year

I closed 2023 and I got the amount in the Retained Earning account But my question I need to check after the close year, The profit and loss for this year.

How can I check P&L of the year after closing the financial year?

The closing entry for the fiscal year has a special date format, where the date is prefixed with a "C". For example, if the fiscal year ends on December 31, the system date for the closing entry would be "C12/31"

To review the profit and loss for the full 2023 fiscal year, you need to filter the data correctly:

To view the profit and loss for the 2023 fiscal year, you would filter the chart of accounts, income statement, etc. to show the date range from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. This will exclude the special "C" dated closing entry.

If you want to include the closing entry as well, you would filter the date range from January 1, 2023 to "C + December 31, 2023". This will pull in the regular 2023 transactions plus the closing entry.
