Incorrect connection string when verifying the connection status between D365FO and Azure Database

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
I am facing an issue in D365 and I have not found a solution for it online.
I am trying to establish authentication between D365 and Azure Database in order to retrieve data using the BYOD service. I have followed all the instructions starting from creating a database in Azure to establishing the authentication between D365 and Azure Database as mentioned in this link: D365 Finance and Operations integration using BYOD

But I am getting an error message: /Incorrect connection string. The connection string should be of format Data Source=serverName;Initial Catalog=databaseName;Integrated Security=False;User ID=PlaceholderUserId;Password=PlaceholderPassword/
////
Even though I am sure that everything is in the right place,
I have tried searching online and found this article: Incorrect connection string

But I couldn't find the Security and Networking mentioned.
I really don't know what else I can do, I would be truly grateful for any help.

Best regards

Hi, as you mentioned, you didn't find the Security and Networking mentioned in the blog. I think you can go to settings" section, click on "Networking", In the "Firewall" tab, toggle the switch for "Enabled from all networks" to enable it.
You can also check the event viewer for more detailed error messages.

    Best Regards,
    Judy

    Hello everyone.
In this comment, I wanted to share the solution I found to fix the "Incorrect connection string" problem.
You can solve the issue by following these steps:
    1- Go to Azure
    2- Open Azure SQL Database
3- Look for the Set server firewall option in the quick access menu next to the copy button
4- Search for Security and navigate to Networking
5- Under Public access, move the Public network access option from "Disable" to "Selected networks" and then activate the Allow Azure services and resources to access this server option
    6- Save
It seems that my issue was due to this option, I hope this comment helps everyone.
    Best regards
