Work is not created during SO in WMS

Hi all,

Im trying to create a SO using warehouse management in AX 2012 R3, and when i click on release to warehouse, only the shipment and wave is created.

I have been trying to figure out what exactly i have missed, but no luck so far.

Can any one suggest me what possible miss in the setup will cause this problem ?

    Forgot to specify what exactly im looking for

    -  I need a work id to be created while Releasing SO to warehouse.

    Dear Shees Hassan,

    Outbound related setup are follows

    1. Location Directive

               a. Line

               b. Location Directive action

                     i. Edit Query and Location profile

    2. Work Template

    3. Wave Template

    4. Mobile Device Menu item

    5. Work Class Id

    6. Directive Code

    In your case I think you forget to setup the wave template. Create wave template. And Work template.

    Thank you for reply dear prashanth,

    I have created a wave template and also have added the required methods to it.

    I have also created the work template.

    In the demo data i had tried with step by step procedure as per the microsoft document and everything had worked fine.

    But now when it comes to a new instance, only PO process with warehouse is working fine.

    If you have created the wave template it will create work order. Even if your shipment is not fully allocated.

    Create sales Order --> Reserve the order lines

    Release the order for warehouse process.

    I have done the same setup and its working fine with me.

    These are the main setup that you need to create in order to use WMS. Don't forget to

    initialize the TMS parameter if you want to use TMS with WMS.

    You need to add the methods 'allocateWave' and 'validateWave' to the Wave template, using the arrow buttons on the 'Methods' fast tab of the wave template form.

    Hi Terry,

    Does it have anything to do with creation of work id during SO ?

    Because in my demo data i used the wave template without using the above 2 methods , and it had worked fine.
